    Alone in the Sky combines the energy of Vayden's debut, Children of Our
    Mistakes, with the new ways of playing together that Vayden discovered over
    years of touring. It introduces a greater emphasis on melody and layered
    songwriting without sacrificing any of the immediacy that made their debut
    so enjoyable.

    Vayden comes out of the gate firing on all cylinders with the pounding,
    propulsive Gone. The energy never lets up until the last notes of the
    stately closer, Genevieve, fade out. In between, there is plenty for any
    music fan to love, from the gorgeous harmonies on Who to guitarist, Armin
    Peterson's, arpeggios on Made of Stone.
