│║ Italian melodic/progressive metal band STAMINA ║ │
│║ is the brainchild of songwriter/guitarist Luca ║ │
│║ Sellitto. In June 2001, Luca ║ │
│║ got in contact with keyboard player Andrea ║ │
│║ Barone, who was the first to join the new ║ │
│║ venture. After ║ │
│║ more than a year spent auditioning various ║ │
│║ singers and musicians, the line-up of STAMINA ║ │
│║ was ║ │
│║ completed with the addition of the lead singer ║ │
│║ Giorgio Adamo, bass player Roberto Chiumiento, ║ │
│║ and ║ │
│║ drummer Cristian Silvestri. ║ │
│║ Since the beginning, the bandÆs aim has been to ║ │
│║ create a personal style of music, combining a ║ │
│║ wide ║ │
│║ range of influences ranging from melodic rock to ║ │
│║ progressive rock, to hard-rock and fusion. ║ │
│║ STAMINA recorded the first unofficial demo The ║ │
│║ Demo Songs in February/March 2003 and the ║ │
│║ second demo Here To Stay in July 2004. Both ║ │
│║ demos gained exceptionally great reviews in ║ │
│║ various ║ │
│║ Italian webzines and magazines, and the band ║ │
│║ started to promote its name playing live ║ │
│║ everywhere in ║ │
│║ the south of Italy. ║ │
│║ In September 2006, the band entered into the ║ │
│║ studio to record the debut full-length album ║ │
│║ Permanent ║ │
│║ Damage, which was released on Italian label ║ │
│║ Heart of Steel Records in December 2007. The ║ │
│║ critics ║ │
│║ and fans response was so overwhelmingly good, ║ │
│║ that during 2008 STAMINA was invited to open for ║ │
│║ many various national and international artists ║ │
│║ in Europe. ║ │
│║ In October 2009, the band entered the studio to ║ │
│║ record the second album Two Of A Kind. This time ║ │
│║ Danish singers Henrik Brockmann (ex Royal Hunt, ║ │
│║ Evil Masquerade) and Kenny Lubcke (ex Narita, ║ │
│║ Andre Andersen, backing vocal of Royal Hunt) ║ │
│║ took part on various tracks as special guests. ║ │
│║ In August 2010, the band signed a new record ║ │
│║ deal with German label Ice Warrior Records (a ║ │
│║ division ║ │
│║ of Rock It Up Records). They released the new ║ │
│║ album worldwide on October 8, 2010. The critics ║ │
│║ and ║ │
│║ fans response was once again excellent, and in ║ │
│║ April 2011 the album charted in Japan in the Top ║ │
│║ 50 ║ │
│║ Import Disks Charts, published by notorious ║ │
│║ Japanese magazine ôBURNNö. ║ │
│║ STAMINA spent the most part of 2011 playing many ║ │
│║ concerts in the south of Italy to promote the ║ │
│║ new ║ │
│║ album. That same year, two of the original ║ │
│║ members left the band. After several weeks of ║ │
│║ auditions, ║ │
│║ bass player Lorenzo Zarone joined the band and ║ │
│║ singer Jacopo DiDomenico was hired as ôsession ║ │
│║ lead singerö to complete the live shows ║ │
│║ scheduled for that year. Now both of them are ║ │
│║ permanent ║ │
│║ members of the band. ║ │
│║ In April/May 2012, STAMINA embarked on their ║ │
│║ European Tour. During the second leg of the ║ │
│║ tour, ║ │
│║ the band had the opportunity to open for Danish ║ │
│║ rock quintet Royal Hunt in honor of their 20th ║ │
│║ anniversary world tour. ║ │
│║ The band has just finished recording their third ║ │
│║ studio album Perseverance, which features ║ │
│║ Swedish ║ │
│║ singers G÷ran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, John ║ │
│║ Norum, Brazen Abbot, etc.) and Nils Molin ║ │
│║ (Dynatzy) as special guests on some tracks. ║ │
│║ ║ │

│║ Those Italians and their music are very ║ │
│║ astonishing, far from the clichΘs, their second ║ │
│║ album ôTwo Of A Kindö (2010) received great ║ │
│║ reviews and was already impressive, indeed quite ║ │
│║ surprising both by his assumed influences but ║ │
│║ also by the way to stand out of this one and ║ │
│║ clearly enhanced by the fact that it was ║ │
│║ disparate from the early preconceived scheme, ║ │
│║ adding some new colors and lots of heterogenic ║ │
│║ ingredients to the original recipe. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Indeed, their main influence is early ROYAL ║ │
│║ HUNT, well, I think itÆs quite obvious (ôWinner ║ │
│║ For A Dayö / ö Perseveranceö) and the ║ │
│║ inspiration distinctly, is coming from the cold ║ │
│║ lands of Scandinavia with many Symphonic ║ │
│║ orchestrations (amazing Cello on öJust Before ║ │
│║ The Dawnö) and many layers of backing vocals ║ │
│║ choir (ôNaked Eyeö), but in the same time they ║ │
│║ managed to improve this strongly impersonated ║ │
│║ style by increasing their spectrum with some new ║ │
│║ highly promising elements to the keyboards ║ │
│║ driven Neo-classical Rock like this incredible ║ │
│║ fusion lead guitar playing mostly in a ║ │
│║ unexpected Jazz Phrygian mode instead of the ║ │
│║ regular minor harmonic scales, in other words: ║ │
│║ itÆs damn cool and musically uplifting. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The dexterity of the musicians and the ability ║ │
│║ to move between those antagonistic concepts with ║ │
│║ a natural ease and a strong feel , is clearly ║ │
│║ exultant and very refreshing even fascinating at ║ │
│║ a point that finally the music of the band ║ │
│║ sounds very original and addictive ║ │
│║ (ôUnbreakableö), revealing an unexpected ║ │
│║ creativity. Built around a trio of talented ║ │
│║ players, the band chose to use a bunch of ║ │
│║ vocalist instead of using exclusively the voice ║ │
│║ of touring singer Jacopo di Domenico. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ After SILENT VOICES from Finland with their new ║ │
│║ ôReveal The Changeö last month, STAMINA does the ║ │
│║ same trick: using various lead singer in order ║ │
│║ to replace the vacancy of Mr. Francesco Neretti ║ │
│║ at the frontman helm. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The list of the recording guest singers is ║ │
│║ exciting , featuring the Swedish revelation Nils ║ │
│║ Molin (DYNAZTY), Maria McTurk (ROYAL HUNT), ex- ║ │
│║ Lead Singer Giorgio Adamo and the usual suspect ║ │
│║ G÷ran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen / ex-GLORY / ║ │
│║ ex-SPACE ODYSSEY). The distinctive voice of ex- ║ │
│║ RISING FORCEÆs extraordinary singer is working ║ │
│║ perfectly on the second track ôBreaking Another ║ │
│║ Stringö, which with the opening song ôHigherö ║ │
│║ (featuring Nils Molin) sets the mood in the ║ │
│║ excellency for the whole magical album but each ║ │
│║ nmber is another essential piece to this ôall ║ │
│║ killers, no fillerö album. ║ │

│║ Maybe the first overwhelming album for 2014, get ║ │
│║ ready for the silver platter release in January ║ │
