██▌ Thirty years of Brazilian music with jazz fusion, funk and soul, ▐██
██▌ have earned Azymuth cult status for dance and jazz heads. What I ▐██
██▌ find refreshing about the Azymuth sound is the high quality of ▐██
██▌ the musicians, but at the same time they are not self-indulgent ▐██
██▌ and the album is accessible from the first track to the last. ▐██
██▌ æBrazilian SoulÆ is an appropriate title as the songs are laced ▐██
██▌ with a soulful thread. It is apparent how long these cats have ▐██
██▌ been playing together as the artists are a cohesive unit taking ▐██
██▌ you on a journey that is influenced by retro soul, bossa nova, ▐██
██▌ jazz and dance music. Several vocalists including: Emilio ▐██
██▌ Santiago, Roberto Menescal and Mario Lott, add some sublime Latin ▐██
██▌ style vocals to the album. Good timing on the release date as ▐██
██▌ this album definitely has a summer flavour. I enjoyed listening ▐██
██▌ to this album particularly before a night out at my local disco ▐██
██▌ emporium and while driving on a sunny day with the wind blowing ▐██
██▌ through (what is left of) my hair. Fans of St Germain, Antonio ▐██
██▌ Carlos Jobim and Roy Ayers should give this album a listen. ▐██
