Seriously heavy dub reggae, with an electronic feel similar to Basic
Channel's side project, Rhythm & Sound. Seriously brutal basslines are
the order of the day, so get that sub woofer turned on max, light up a
spliff, and bliss out.

If, like us, you're in thrall to the extended family of dub influence -
think of Burial Mix/Rhythm & Sound, early Pole, and any number of
electronic operators whose minds have been generously expanded by the
reverb, dancehall storms, sound systems and pressure of the original,
great jamaican tradition of dubbing it like crazy - then this is right
up your strasse. Such is the weight of this tradition, many talented men
have fallen at the first hurdle, lapsing into straight samples and
ephemeral, thin imitations of the benchmark yard sound. Not so
Tilliander, who on 'She don't dub' takes the syntax of classic roots and
refashions it with some beautifullly designed sounds - 'Ideal chant' ups
the stakes, into full on iron-sided steppers heaven - one for playing so
loud your neck chords vibrate. 'Melod ica' sidles in a little more
slowly, but the riddim is equally rough, featuring naturally melodica
and a poised mid tempo skank .... . 'Skatterspot' rounds off a massive
four track plate with more of everything, fabulous depths, rolling
low-end, squalls of delay, a summation of the quality on show here.
Frankly, a brilliant twelve. Killer!!
