░ Artax consists of Lars Bergvall,born in a small ░
░ town in mid Sweden 1981... Musical interest ░
░ started with guitar-playing,which proved to be ░
░ not that successful. Instead, the electronic ░
░ music quickly became interesting. Probably, I ░
░ always knew about my weakness towards it, being ░
░ that I'm born in the 80's! The decade of ░
░ synthetic clothes, food and, of course, music ░
░ sure must have made a harder impression on me ░
░ during my infint years then I was willing to ░
░ confess during my ░
░ death-worship-heavy-metal-years... ░
░ ░
░ Anyway, I started to listen to more synth-music, ░
░ such as PouppeΘ Fabrikk, DAF, Front 242 and of ░
░ course Kraftwerk. Using PC-sequencer Cakewalk 7, ░
░ Proppellerheads ReBirth and a Roland D20 ░
░ synthesizer, I started doing some ░
░ body/electronica/ambient-tracks around 1997 and I ░
░ released some home-made demos and shit under the ░
░ Deutsch-NAZI-Gay-Sturm-sounding alias "Plutonium ░
░ 239". Oh, I had almost forgotten it... ░
░ ░
░ After moving into the Logic Bomb studio in 1999 ░
░ (if you've heard of Artax before, you probably ░
░ know that my brother use to be a part of Logic ░
░ Bomb), the interest rose towards the trance-music ░
░ pretty soon. My brother, of course, had taken me ░
░ to some partys and so, and pretty soon I tried to ░
░ make some trance-tracks... After a while the ░
░ track "Greeting from Psychaosis" was produced, ░
░ and it was to be my first release. It was ░
░ included on the compilation "Vibraspirit 23" ░
░ Australian label SunDance Records. ░
░ ░
░ By then, the alias I used was still "Plutionium ░
░ 239"... This had to change! As I allready said, I ░
░ was born in the 80's and of course the movie ░
░ "Neverending Story" made a big impact on my ░
░ juvenile brain. Appearently, my brain had took a ░
░ couple of beatings during those years, 'couse ░
░ when I'd settled on the name ARTAX, I soon ░
░ relised that I named myslef after a horse... (Me ░
░ thought it was the flying dog, Falcoor). But, who ░
░ really cares? I like it... ░

░ 'Super Position' is the debut album of Artax. The ░
░ album contains 9 unreleased tracks, all of them ░
░ are very specific and unique. ░
