In 1994, Mark Feldman received the 1st Place Award from
Downbeat Magazine's critics for "Talent Deserving Wider
Recognition." He has performed as a soloist with the WDR Radio
Symphony of K÷ln, Germany, the Basel Sinfonietta of
Switzerland, recorded as a Nashville studio musician on over
200 recordings (including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George
Jones and TV Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart), made over 45 albums as
a sideman with the likes of Lee Konitz, John Zorn, Time Berne,
Ray Anderson, George Gruntz, Don byron, Anthony Davis, Guy
Klucevsek and Bobby Previte and was a member of Arcado Trio.
Music For Violin Alone is a collection of compositions
synthesizing new music, romantic virtuoso violin gestures and
improvisation. With its fresh non-academic approach, this debut
release injects new life into solo violin performance.
