│║ This group was formed in Salisbury , England in ║ │
│║ 1981 , when a group of school friends decided to ║ │
│║ create a rock band playing covers and other ║ │
│║ groups. Initially the group name was Killer, ║ │
│║ later changed it to Genghis Khan and finally the ║ │
│║ name we know today as Tokyo Blade. The first ║ │

│║ Under the name Killer came to record in 1981 , ║ │
│║ just a demo that was successful , but ║ │
│║ nevertheless they did to begin a series of small ║ │
│║ gigs in bars , pubs and clubs of his hometown. ║ │
│║ This demo was released in cassette format and ║ │
│║ had the name Killer demo. Logically sound left ║ │
│║ much to be desired, but nevertheless could ║ │
│║ already appreciate the style that would follow ║ │
│║ after ; mainly because large doses of threads ║ │
│║ emanating guitar riff with important , while ║ │
│║ other instruments , especially the battery ║ │
│║ became very present . In this first demo we ║ │
│║ highlight the following topics : Hellbound , It ║ │
│║ do not matter to me , Killer . ║ │
│║ After a year of small actions and without ║ │
│║ actually getting anything positive , had closed ║ │
│║ the stage Killer, and began a new under the name ║ │
│║ Genghis Khan , with whom they released in 1982 a ║ │
│║ new demo under the title Double dealin '7 '' . ║ │
│║ If the previous demo sinned poor sound, this was ║ │
│║ the first thing taken into account and the sound ║ │
│║ was more elaborate . It was clear that this was ║ │
│║ more than just a demo, because the topics were ║ │
│║ more elaborate , as well as the composition of ║ │
│║ the lyrics and sound; with great guitar riffs ║ │
│║ and catchy choruses , clearly influenced by the ║ │
│║ new wave of metal that arose at that time. As ║ │
│║ best we can highlight these issues : Double ║ │
│║ dealin, Meanstreak , Highway passion . ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Arrived 1983, and after finally renamed to Tokyo ║ │
│║ Blade, released their first album under this ║ │
│║ name that titled in the same way blade Tokyo . ║ │
│║ This self-titled album is published by the ║ │
│║ independent company High Vaultage Records, ║ │
│║ although the picture would Records Power Station ║ │
│║ . In this album in addition to new songs, also ║ │
│║ had some issues that had already been published ║ │
│║ in the previous album . If previous albums could ║ │
│║ clearly define the style acquired by the band ║ │
│║ was just the heavy rock , this album is ║ │
│║ accentuated more with large doses of guitar riff ║ │
│║ and good metalheads rhythms , showing that the ║ │
│║ group was beginning to have accommodated within ║ │
│║ the metal scene of the time. Besides his first ║ │
│║ tour was a success , and participating in ║ │
│║ festivals like Aardschock , with bands like ║ │
│║ Venom and Metallica were also headlining ║ │
│║ festival Earthquake . As best destaremos the ║ │
│║ following themes : Death on main street , ║ │
│║ Tonight , Midnight Rendezvous. ║ │
│║ A year later in 1984 , beginning the changes in ║ │
│║ training, and bassist Andy Robbins , who was ║ │
│║ replaced by Andy Wrighton also began recording ║ │
│║ with his usual singer Alan Marsh was sent , and ║ │
│║ this left the band just to finish the recording ║ │
│║ , which must replace Vic Wright. The title of ║ │
│║ the album is Night of the blade . And the funny ║ │
│║ thing about this album is that as the first ║ │
│║ singer had recorded the voices , had to re- re- ║ │
│║ record the new , yet the chorus is left intact , ║ │
│║ so in this album both vocalists appear . ║ │
│║ Moreover criticism at the time did not give it ║ │
│║ much thought , but after the years has proven to ║ │
│║ be the best album of the band, as well as being ║ │
│║ a benchmark of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British ║ │
│║ Heavy Metal) movement. In this album we will ║ │
│║ recommend the following topics. First theme ║ │
│║ Someone to love we'll leave to the end , whereas ║ │
│║ now include these : Lightning Strikes ( Straight ║ │
│║ through the heart) , School house is burnin ' ║ │
│║ Rock me to the limit . ║ │
│║ Entered in 1985 returned to the recording studio ║ │
│║ with new vocalist and record their next album ║ │
│║ under the title Blackhearts and jaded spades . ║ │
│║ Addition of second guitar also change now being ║ │
│║ John Wiggins , who is now in charge of this post ║ │
│║ and also on some issues Nick Coler accompanies ║ │
│║ them on keyboards. With the release of this new ║ │
│║ album the band style changes slightly , creating ║ │
│║ a unique style mixed with heavy and melodic hard ║ │
│║ . Also after breaking up with his former record ║ │
│║ company, the album is edited by the company Zoom ║ │
│║ Club Records which is a division of Shadows ║ │
│║ Music , but funded almost entirely by the band ║ │
│║ themselves . To promote this album begin a new ║ │
│║ tour, which ended with the dissolution of the ║ │
│║ band momentarily . As best we highlight the ║ │
│║ following issues : Always, honeymoon Undercover ║ │
│║ , Dirty faced angels . ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ After the last tour beginning a series of ║ │
│║ problems within the band that is settled with ║ │
│║ the departure of several of its members , ║ │
│║ vocalist Vic Wright was sent , along with Andy ║ │
│║ Wrighton and John Wiggins . All this makes again ║ │
│║ , guitarist Andy Boulton, have to restore the ║ │
│║ group to continue making records . Meanwhile, ║ │
│║ her former record company publishes a new album ║ │
│║ under the title of Madame guillotine . This mini ║ │
│║ album collected the issues that had been ║ │
│║ disposed of the two disks that the group had ║ │
│║ recorded with Company Ltd. Power Stations And ║ │
│║ now were put into circulation. As noted issues ║ │
│║ we could do with these : Attack attack , Fever , ║ │
│║ Breakout. ║ │
│║ Subsequently and after the previous mini album ║ │
│║ the record company put back into circulation ║ │
│║ collection under the title of Warrior of the ║ │
│║ rising sun . This album came to pick the best ║ │
│║ songs of the band throughout their discography , ║ │
│║ which also appeared in some issues mixed ║ │
│║ extended versions and different recordings . As ║ │
│║ best songs we could highlight them all , mainly ║ │
│║ because it is a good compilation , but now we ║ │
│║ will hear those who have not yet heard as: ║ │
│║ Unleash the beast , Warrior of the rising sun , ║ │
│║ Sunrise in Tokyo . ║ │
│║ Later is set to release a new album of the band ║ │
│║ , this time it was a live album titled Live in ║ │
│║ London . Years later also would be issued on ║ │
│║ DVD. In the concert which featured the band in ║ │
│║ 1985 at the Camden Palace Theatre in London , ║ │
│║ which sound left much to be desired, even ║ │
│║ initially qualify as a bootleg, or be a bootleg ║ │
│║ is collected, but later became a official album ║ │
│║ of the band. On this record the best songs from ║ │
│║ his previous albums are collected , but sung by ║ │
│║ Vic Wright and he clearly sees the power and the ║ │
│║ magic he had in live band . As best themes we ║ │
│║ will highlight the following : Playroom of ║ │
│║ Poison Dreams , the ballad You are the heart , ║ │
│║ Blackhearts and jaded spades . ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Following here, and after the events that had ║ │
│║ emerged within the band , guitarist Andy Boulton ║ │
│║ and founder , decided to continue with the group ║ │
│║ but as a personal project of the guitarist ║ │
│║ himself . To do this in 1987 , joining the band ║ │
│║ vocalist Pete Zito, Machwitz Martin on ║ │
│║ keyboards, Chris Stover on bass, Alex Lee on ║ │
│║ drums. With this line back to the recording ║ │
│║ studio and soon their next album appears under ║ │
│║ the title of Is not Misbehavin ' . This album ║ │
│║ was released by the company range Musikverlags ║ │
│║ Records and was produced by the band 's own ║ │
│║ components and Tom Krueger , being recorded in ║ │
│║ the studios of Germany. Again this album came to ║ │
│║ confirm that the line following the group was ║ │
│║ precisely the issues of good Heavy / hard rock ║ │
│║ with elaborate good guitar riff and amazing and ║ │
│║ strong batteries. As best tracks include these : ║ │
│║ Tokyo city, Do not walk away , Heartbreaker . ║ │
│║ Not being very confident his company is training ║ │
│║ two years later in 1989 , require that Andy ║ │
│║ Boulton changed again some members of the band, ║ │
│║ using this time to German musicians such as ║ │
│║ vocalist Michael Pozz serious now , Dave Exits ║ │
│║ to low Astor and drums, while Martin Marchwitz ║ │
│║ continuing on keyboards. Back returns to the ║ │
│║ Studios of Stuttgart Germany Zukerfabrik and ║ │
│║ soon a new album was released under the title No ║ │
│║ remorse . This album had two editions , the ║ │
│║ first and second under the title No remorse (The ║ │
│║ eye of the storm ) , which contained two more ║ │
│║ issues and also the order of items was ║ │
│║ completely different ; this second edition only ║ │
│║ commercialized in Japan. Again returning by the ║ │
│║ same path of the previous albums , doing a good ║ │
│║ heavy hard rock , this disc also critical ║ │
│║ qualify him as one of the best in the ║ │
│║ discography of the group. About this time old ║ │
│║ vocalist Alan Marsh created his own band called ║ │
│║ Shogun , which was a true reflection of Tokyo ║ │
│║ Blade also played some songs of the band . From ║ │
│║ this record we will highlight the following cuts ║ │
│║ : Chains of love , The eye of the storm , Five - ║ │
│║ inch catwalk . ║ │
│║ After this album the band was finally removed ║ │
│║ until after a few years specifically five new ║ │
│║ contact Alan Marsh Andy Boulton together and ║ │
│║ reunited the band , getting training to stay ║ │
│║ this way: Vocalist Alan Marsh , guitar Andy ║ │
│║ Boulton, Marc Angel on drums, Colins Riggs on ║ │
│║ bass and John Wiggins to another guitar . With ║ │
│║ this line back to the recording studio in 1995 ║ │
│║ and edited the album Burning down paradise . ║ │
│║ This time the company that publishes is the PSV ║ │
│║ GmbH Records , and the album is released ║ │
│║ worldwide , along with a promotional tour , ║ │
│║ participating in the festival Band your head , ║ │
│║ along with groups like Savage, Glenmore and ║ │
│║ Blind Guardian In this disco style changes ║ │
│║ slightly adapting to the times and creating a ║ │
│║ more disco -style undergroung / grunge to heavy ║ │
│║ metal itself . This disk will highlight the ║ │
│║ following topics : Friend in need , Papering the ║ │
│║ cracks , Hot breath . ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Three years later in 1998 again Andy Boulton ║ │
│║ returned to making changes in training, and was ║ │
│║ sent to John Wiggins was replaced by Danny ║ │
│║ Gwilym , on guitar and keyboards , arriving ║ │
│║ Atilla , becoming a sextet . Moreover also ║ │
│║ renamed to be renamed Mr. Ice , but once ║ │
│║ recorded their next job whose eponymous name was ║ │
│║ indeed Mr. Ice , they had to return the name ║ │
│║ Tokyo Blade, since commercial pressure forced ║ │
│║ them to this, mainly because no one would know ║ │
│║ and no sales would be expected by the record ║ │
│║ company , which was now again the Zoom Club ║ │
│║ Records. With this album back to the style that ║ │
│║ had always been creating issues very well ║ │
│║ crafted guitar riff where again become one of ║ │
│║ the main characteristics of the subjects , ║ │
│║ returning to his main style as is the heavy / ║ │
│║ hard metal. As best highlight these issues : ║ │
│║ Poor Little Rich kid , More than a pretty face , ║ │
│║ Boyz will be boyz.En 1998 and after touring the ║ │
│║ last album the band dissolved Andy Boulton and ║ │
│║ Alan Marsh creates his own group with some ║ │
│║ members of the band as Colin Riggs on bass, Marc ║ │
│║ Angel on drums and Jez were also joined Lopez on ║ │
│║ guitar. This training Pumphouse create the group ║ │
│║ , but then the company decided to Zoom Club ║ │
│║ Records Tokyo Blade name and her first recording ║ │
│║ called Pumphouse . So this meant that those who ║ │
│║ had been left out of the training was precisely ║ │
│║ the founding member Andy Boulton , which did not ║ │
│║ sit well . Again the album was full of good ║ │
│║ stuff , but with a little more flair undergroung ║ │
│║ , but ultimately another good album from this ║ │
│║ band . As best tracks include these : The ║ │
│║ ultimate high , SOS , Like you not. ║ │
│║ In this year 1998 her former record company ║ │
│║ Vaultage High Records, decided to launch a new ║ │
│║ album under the title Night of the Blade ... The ║ │
│║ night before . This new compilation comes to ║ │
│║ pick the best songs of the band, the stage at ║ │
│║ which this vocalist Alan Marsh so they appear ║ │
│║ old songs and new together in one album. ║ │
│║ Highlight all would be right, but now we will ║ │
│║ hear those who have not yet heard topics such as ║ │
│║ : Woman and love , the ballad Dead of the night ║ │
│║ , Young, bad and no good . ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ I think a band only really makes sense if kept ║ │
│║ together , if you stay together you get enough . ║ │
│║ If you're good enough and you stay together you ║ │
│║ get . You have to stay united, be honest with ║ │
│║ the rest , and you shall respect you ... ║ │
│║ friends. (Andy Boulton, 2008) ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ After all this again Andy Boulton demand at ║ │
│║ current Tokyo Blade for usurpation of the name, ║ │
│║ since he has the rights to the band . ║ │
│║ Furthermore reunites for new musicians touring , ║ │
│║ among which Bryan Holland on guitar , who later ║ │
│║ would leave the false Tokyo Blade, also was the ║ │
│║ vocalist Chris Gillen , bassist and drummer ║ │
│║ Frank Separdi Lorenzo Gonzßlez , although this ║ │
│║ training did not reach record anything , would ║ │
│║ have to be some changes before releasing their ║ │
│║ last album that has appeared in 2009 , edited by ║ │
│║ Razar Ice Records, under the title Live in ║ │
│║ Germany . Which is recorded on tour in Europe, ║ │
│║ where he also performed at the Legends of Rock ║ │
│║ festival in Murcia, Spain and ended the tour at ║ │
│║ the Keep It True festival in Germany, where they ║ │
│║ recorded this album. Logically live to be ║ │
│║ collected the biggest hits of the band. This ║ │
│║ disk will highlight the following topics : Love ║ │
│║ struck , If heaven is hell , Night of the blade ║ │
│║ . ║ │
│║ The band Tokyo Blade arose when the legacy of ║ │
│║ bands like Black Sabbath , Led Zeppelin and many ║ │
│║ more , was already deeply rooted in England. ║ │
│║ This movement will call NWOBHM , which stands ║ │
│║ for New Wave Of British Heavy Metal . This ║ │
│║ movement albergo groups the likes of Iron ║ │
│║ Maiden, Saxon, Raven, Def Leppard and some more ║ │
│║ that followed in the wake of the above groups . ║ │
│║ At first he was not taking into account their ║ │
│║ first appearances in this movement, but later it ║ │
│║ was determined that they were also the ║ │
│║ proponents of the new wave , as I get to call ║ │
│║ this movement , leading to a series of discs now ║ │
│║ day are considered worship music . Multiple ║ │
│║ components have been this band , in fact today ║ │
│║ there is a great controversy , to determine who ║ │
│║ the real Tokyo Blade. Despite all this the band ║ │
│║ on any stage knew at all times follow the line ║ │
│║ of motion born , creating wonderful albums with ║ │
│║ the pure essence of heavy metal. Too bad you ║ │
│║ still endure the controversy, as might otherwise ║ │
│║ back together the original lineup and delight us ║ │
│║ with another disk , similar to the albums of ║ │
│║ yesteryear. Furthermore, I recommend you listen ║ │
│║ to them any disc , but I 've never heard because ║ │
│║ you enthuse insurance . ║ │
│║ As always in this program leave a topic for ║ │
│║ last, as we consider the best or the best-known ║ │
│║ band or solo , as appropriate the particular day ║ │
│║ . Today the case of the band TOKYO BLADE , we ║ │
│║ considered that the issue should be done with ║ │
│║ highlight Someone to love . Taken from their ║ │
│║ album called Night of the blade . Since it is ║ │
│║ one of the most important issues of this group ║ │
│║ and is now a benchmark in their discography. ║ │
│║ ║ │
