TKAC & HAVERLIK: Tkac & Haverlik are Rasti Tkac and
Tomas Haverlik. They have been producing music since
1999, together. The way how both of them feel the music
is responsible for the sound of their music, which has
shaped and is shaping untill now. At their roots they
have been influenced by the sound of euro-trance of
those days. the most influencing producers were Paul van
Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Robert Miles.
After the euro-trance scene has become more and more
commercial and it was almost impossible to find
something interesting, Rasti and Tomas have found there
way to music from and influenced by UK's house scene,
which bought them many untradtional and very innovative
new elements in the music. Actually these elements are
responsible for so popular adjective 'progressive' which
often describes this sub-genre of house. The most
influencing artist and or producers for Rasti and Tomas
are John Digweed and Sister Bliss but also non british
Brancaccio & Aisher, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie and many
others.
The production of Tkac & Haverlik can be categorized
under progressive electronic dance music. though, it is
almost impossible to localize their stable position
between house and trance. In their last two productions
you can clearly hear influences from both trance and
house. The form of progressivity that they are trying o
implement into their music lies in the style of
arranging the tracks. The base of every track is a
dominant sybth motive which rises through entire track.
Other very important ingrediences of their tracks are
long atmospheric textures which give each track very
special and unique mood. Also very typical elements you
can hear in Tkac & Haverlik's productions are many
percussive sounds enriched with a lot of sound effects
and typical double punching beat which graduates
throughout the track.
This receipe has become interesting also to some record
labels in the UK and they give Rasti and Tomas a chance
to prove their skills by releasing two of their tracks.
First of them was 'Hannah' written by Tomas Haverlik. It
was their first success and also therefore it remains
their favourite track untill now. In its depth 'Hannah'
exactly express the way how Rasti and Tomas feel the
music.
