│║ My opinion on the last Celesty album still ║ │
│║ stands. Very generic, very repetitive, some ║ │
│║ catchy moments, loads of cheesy voices. That all ║ │
│║ changes with Mortal Mind Creation. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ When you first listen to this album, you can ║ │
│║ tell from the first riff, the beginning of Lord ║ │
│║ of Mortals, that Celesty has taken a slightly ║ │
│║ heavier direction. When the vocals start, if ║ │
│║ you've heard the previous albums, you will ║ │
│║ notice a major difference. They're more refined ║ │
│║ and polished, and even go to the lower side more ║ │
│║ than just once. You won't get any Breed From The ║ │
│║ Land Unknown vocals here, though. It's all ║ │
│║ clean.s ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ All of the tracks here are enjoyable, maybe not ║ │
│║ exactly memorable, but memorability isn't what ║ │
│║ makes a song good. Lord of Mortals is catchy and ║ │
│║ very well-done, you hear a good demonstration of ║ │
│║ the singer's range, and the backing vocals have ║ │
│║ been produced well, too. I just can't stress ║ │
│║ enough how much better the singing is on this ║ │
│║ album. It's so good compared to the others. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Vocals aside, the rest of the music is heavier ║ │
│║ and I swear I hear some progressive moments here ║ │
│║ and there. Unreality is very fast and chaotic ║ │
│║ right from the get-go, Demon Inside sounds like ║ │
│║ a power metal version of a song that could've ║ │
│║ been on Dream Theater's Train of Thought, and ║ │
│║ War Creations's riff definitely makes me think ║ │
│║ progressive when I hear it. Guitars have ║ │
│║ definitely improved, the sound and quality is ║ │
│║ top notch and the skill is definitely there - ║ │
│║ you certainly hear it, too. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The keyboards also get used effectively - not as ║ │
│║ much as Reign of Elements or even Legacy of ║ │
│║ Hate, it seems, but it's nice to hear them ║ │
│║ (Empty Room uses them well - that song reminds ║ │
│║ me of a more entertaining Xystus song). ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Drumming is good for the most part. They're ║ │
│║ strong and you can hear them well, but they're ║ │
│║ not blasting your ears out. Last Sacrifice is a ║ │
│║ good, fast song with the drumming I'm talking ║ │
│║ about - it goes well with the rapid vocals. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ There are some downsides, the occasional moment ║ │
│║ where you may get bored, but no album is ║ │
│║ perfect. It's hard for me to think of a decent ║ │
│║ downside to this album simply because it's such ║ │
│║ a major improvement for Celesty - they've ║ │
│║ ditched the awful, cheesy voice acting, and the ║ │
│║ story (so it seems.. for now, at least) for ║ │
│║ heavier, faster, more polished, and enjoyable ║ │
│║ music. I prefer this album several times over to ║ │
│║ Legacy of Hate, and don't even get me started on ║ │
│║ Reign of Elements. I suppose I can think of a ║ │
│║ downside now - as awesome as the songs are on ║ │
│║ this album, I don't think a single one is as ║ │
│║ catchy as the title songs of the previous album, ║ │
│║ Legacy of Hate. Oh, well. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ If you're new to power metal, I definitely ║ │
│║ recommend this album. I advise skipping the ║ │
│║ others, but if you're like me, you'll end up ║ │
│║ listening to them anyway. Definitely give this ║ │
│║ one a shot, though. If Celesty keeps with this, ║ │
│║ I'll be looking forward to new stuff even more. ║ │
