dXb Setting the techno scene alight with his "Pyrogen" EP dXb
dXb in the autumn of 2013, Tim Penner's twin-track dXb
dXb offering provided the backdrop for the Canadian's dXb
dXb unique approach to "frequency manipulation" and dXb
dXb genre-twisting music. Now receiving a pair of new dXb
dXb interpretations courtesy of James Monro and Chicola, dXb
dXb Proton Music is proud to revisit Penner's debut dXb
dXb release for the label. Finding a home in Brazil after dXb
dXb touring the globe since the 1980s with a well- dXb
dXb established DJ persona, James Monro has ridden the dXb
dXb crest of a wave for several decades in a notoriously dXb
dXb fickle music industry. Having set up the dXb
dXb 4DigitalAudio imprint with production partner Grant dXb
dXb Collins, Monro's musical pedigree is a match for any dXb
dXb producer. Tracks that have featured on Nick Warren's dXb
dXb "Renaissance: Masters Series" in early 2013 and John dXb
dXb Digweed's "Structures 2" compilation, are the dXb
dXb hallmark of a producer with gold standard dXb
dXb credibility. Heavily supported by Hernan Cattaneo, dXb
dXb Robert Babicz and Digweed himself, the track "Scarab" dXb
dXb was also charted number one by Nick Warren. Starting dXb
dXb out with a pair of remixes as part of the Juan dXb
dXb Deminicis and his "Behind The Sun (Remixed)" EP in dXb
dXb October 2013, Monro's full solo debut came at the end dXb
dXb of the year in the shape of the sublime rhythms and dXb
dXb melodies of the "Fonik" EP. Re-envisioning Tim dXb
dXb Penner, James Monro has taken "On My Skin" and turned dXb
dXb it into a deep progressive number, full of flowing dXb
dXb lines and house rhythms combined with a rolling dXb
dXb percussive groove. A subterranean pulsing bass line, dXb
dXb expertly filtered, provides a bedrock and the melodic dXb
dXb themes from Penner's original supply a sublime dXb
dXb resonance to create an expertly crafted piece. dXb
dXb Becoming one of Israel's most sought after DJs and dXb
dXb producers, Chico Shuella has emerged from his dXb
dXb homeland to become recognised as a global force in dXb
dXb the underground music industry using his Chicola dXb
dXb pseudonym. A regular at Tel Aviv's "Allenby 58" club dXb
dXb and a residency at "Haoman 17" have seen him share dXb
dXb centre stage with such luminaries as Sister Bliss, dXb
dXb Danny Tenaglia and Carl Craig. 130 gigs a year and a dXb
dXb successful business in the huge Israeli wedding dXb
dXb market has added to Chicola's portfolio, as have a dXb
dXb series of productions that has seen his work signed dXb
dXb to Tommy Boy, KTA and supported by the likes of dXb
dXb Laurent Garnier and Roger Sanchez. Work since 2011 dXb
dXb has seen Chicola forge alliances with Lowbit and dXb
dXb Punta del Este, and a recent debut for Proton Music dXb
dXb in the form of the deep rhythms of the "Maganda" EP, dXb
