    Android is an open source mobile device platform created by Google          
    and the Open Handset Alliance. Android powers smartphones, tablets,         
    set-top boxes, TVs, and more. This course is designed to introduce          
    you to Basic Android Development. In this course you will learn the         
    basic Android programming and also learn some advance concepts              
    related to Android application development. You will learn about The        
    basic building blocks for user interface development. You will also         
    use the fundamental Android UI components, looking at and                   
    demonstrate interaction between screens, activities, and entire             
    applications. You will also be introduced and use the Service               
    framework, which allows for ongoing background processes. You will          
    create GUI's based on layouts defined in XML files. We will also            
    develop an App with a backend Database using SQLite.
