Kevin Martin makes his long-anticipated
return as The Bug with his fourth album
under that name for Ninja Tune. Since
releasing the incredible London Zoo in
2008, Martin has largely kept busy with
his dub-focused King Midas Sound
project. Angels & Devils sees him
return to the album format as The Bug,
unleashing an intense palette of sounds
that run from seismic shakes and
mountainous bass weight to moments of
quieter introspection. Featuring guest
appearances from some of electronic
music and hip hop's finest, including
Death Grips, Gonjasufi, Liz Harris (of
Grouper) and Copeland, it's an entirely
explosive release and everything we
could have hoped for from Martin's
return.
