The Analogue Cops, the Italian-bred,
Berlin based production duo of Lucretio
and Marieu, offer up their latest short
set, courtesy of Hypercolour. Lucretio
contributes the crisp, anthemic house
cut "Denying" and late-night killer "Do
It Forever", both of which sport ace
vocal loops, deep, melodic bass and
kaleidoscopic synths. Marieu adds a
little dirt and dust on the hypnotic
"Manipulation", which builds on clipped
female vocals, a string loop and
booming kicks, layering on chunky
synths and potent hi-hats. He does away
with the samples altogether on "Fall
In", an energised acid workout
punctuated by big, booming drum work.
