2012's MMT Home Tape Series, originally
released as a series of 12" singles and
later compiled by Rush Hour,
established Jorge Velez - previously
better known under his Professor Genius
alias - as a formidable maker of fuzzy
analogue jams. Here, he transfers to
Creme Organization to continue his
explorations of vintage gear, classic-
sounding house and Italo-influenced
drum machine fuzz. As you'd expect,
there's much to admire, from the fluid
bounce and darting synths of "Magic 8-
Ball" and winding alien melodies and
dense percussion of "Aventuras"
(arguably the highlight), to the
melodious tropical house flex of "Chant
D'Ombres".
