│ Spontaneous Illumination is written and produced by Piers Oak-Rhind and │
│ Helmut Glavar at the Entheogenic soundlabs in the south west of France. │
│ │
│ The music: a mixture of ambient and chill out atmospheres with │
│ intelligent electronic dub, ethnic influences, deep drums and basses, │
│ electronic and acoustic instruments, it takes you on a captivating │
│ journey, deep into trance and spiritual grooves. │
│ This album is timeless, beautiful and skilfully produced; made for music │
│ lovers. This album is timeless, beautiful and skilfully produced; made │
│ for music lovers. this record is no musical fast-food, its an acoustical │
│ feast which deserves the full attention of the listener. c.o.r.n. │
│ recordings is a side label of playoutrightnow recordings. Why an │
│ additional label? The aim was to create the perfect environment, which │
│ this composition deserves. Spontaneous Illumination is through and │
│ through a psychedelic and spiritual album and, for that reason, P.O.R.N. │
│ appeared to be unsuitable because the musical direction of P.O.R.N. is │
│ focussed on dance orientated music. C.O.R.N. will feature music that │
│ merits listening to. │

│ Review from www.trance.net: │
│ │
│ The first track starts with the sound of running water, some voice │
│ samples, a crow and floating sounds. You get a feeling of being in the │
│ jungle. Then some tribal drums goes slowly into the track. A nice tribal │
│ voice sings a little bit and beautiful sounds floats out together with │
│ it all. You get a feeling of being out door all the way. One of the │
│ great things with Entheogenic is that it varies all the time. The track │
│ is like a beautiful voyage where you see a lot of different landscapes, │
│ but here you get a lot of different soundscapes. Wonderful melodies come │
│ and go, relaxing groovy bass, an Indian flute makes you chilled, before │
│ it changes again and goes new directions. A great listening voyage! │
│ │
│ Track 2 starts with the sound of water again. Small psychedelic sounds │
│ crawls into the track, before some relaxing rhythms comes in. This track │
│ proves that Entheogenic has gone even deeper in this album. They combine │
│ beautiful floating melodies with tribal voices, relaxing drums and deep │
│ psychedelic sounds. Track 3 starts with a beautiful voice from a church │
│ or something. A mystical sound comes in and the sound of running water │
│ in a stream comes back again. This is really beautiful! A tribal voice │
│ comes in too, and while listening to this you get a feeling of just │
│ floating in the sky! Entheogenic are experts on making these totally │
│ wonderful melodies. It is hard to explain what it sounds like, but if │
│ you have heard their first album and ad some more ethnic influences, │
│ maybe you can imagine. │
│ │
│ Track 4 is even more dreamy. ItÆs like travelling on a cloud of │
│ beautiful melodies. Then you get some twisted psychedelic melodies, │
│ before the track takes another direction again. The sounds become really │
│ happy, before we go back to deeper sounds. You just canÆt get tired of │
│ it because of all the variation! Track 5 is already released before on │
│ the Module 01 compilation on 3D Vision Relax. Here it is called │
│ Invisible Landscapes, but on the Module 01 compilation it is called │
│ Impossible Landscape. But it sounds pretty similar. This track is really │
│ varied, and it has some more banging rhythms than usual from these guys. │
│ Great track. Track 6 slows down again, and we get right into the jungle │
│ mood again, with sounds of water and birds singing. Then a beautiful │
│ flute comes in, together with the sound of a choir and deep dub rhythms. │
│ This is so relaxing. Then a female opera singer sings a little bit now │
│ and then. A beautiful melody comes in and a new voyage is on. The last │
│ track on this beautiful album is a totally relaxed track. Crystal clear │
│ floating sound with a mystical vibe. A really nice chilled finish for a │
│ great album! │
│ │
│ These two guys show again what musical talents they are! No bad tracks │
│ to find on this album! I will not say if this is better or worse than │
│ their first album, because thatÆs hard to decide! This album probably │
│ requires some more of the listener than their first album, because this │
│ is a bit deeper and more psychedelic. So if you enjoyed their first │
│ album, you will for sure enjoy this one too and be able to go even │
│ deeper into the beautiful sound of Entheogenic! This album will for sure │
│ be one of the high lights this year, and at least where ever I will be │
│ this summer, this album will be with me. Recommended! │

│ │
│ As time goes by, the world matures. PsyCZ has matured and the scene has │
│ matured. PsyCZ has been releasing MP3 in VBR (using --r3mix with LAME │
│ 3.89, making it archival quality enough even from today's view) since │
│ end of 2001, and was met with skepticism. As time went by, more and more │
│ groups realised that VBR is superiur to CBR 192. Finally, now in 2004, │
│ VBR is allowed by the scene. │
│ PsyCZ in 2004 will also continue to bring you the finest psychedelic │
│ trance music from around the world, as we have done since 2001. │
