│ Narkoleptik is a band from Constanta (Romania) that came out in 2000 as │
│ a duo formed of Damon and K.Y. After one year K.Y. renounces and │
│ Narkoleptik becomes a solo project. The "Penitence" CD is a demo with │
│ more recent songs, from one-man-project period, except for the song │
│ "Above The Wasteland". "Pentience" is an instrumental album, there is no │
│ voice (too bad, there would be several moments that would require such, │
│ in my opinion), the sound is 100% electronic, but not homogenous in the │
│ 7 tracks. It leads easily from ambient to noise, industrial, minimal │
│ darkwave or experimental. There is nothing clumsy in this variation, the │
│ sound change being natural from a song to another or inside the same │
│ composition. "Neural Waves" and "Penitence 3" are my favourites, but the │
│ whole demo is worth listening, especially by those who enjoy bands such │
│ as Merzbow, Aube, MZ412, early Lycia or Premature Ejaculation. │
