│ This American-French-Swedish quartet are just what the world of rock │
│ and roll has been waiting for. Blues Pills are a refreshing kick in the │
│ face and Devil Man will leave shivers tingling down your spine. │

│ Title and opening track, Devil Man is both beautiful and powerful. Elin │
│ LarssonÆs vocals will anaesthetize you into a state of defencelessness, │
│ pulling you completely under her spell with enough range and strength │
│ to have you wanting more and more and more. And then some more. │
│ │
│ Take a dip in The River, and let the sound wash over your face. The │
│ quiet and humble melody allows the sensual vocals to really take you to │
│ a place of calm. Then, the slow crescendo has you dip your toes in a │
│ floatation tank before taking a gentle splash and immersing yourself │
│ completely in their poignancy. │
│ │
│ The greatest part about this band is their ability to take the likes of │
│ Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Cream and Aretha Franklin and turn it into │
│ a sound that is groundbreaking and inventive. And most importantly, one │
│ thatÆs all of their own. This is not just a fad band; Blues Pills has │
│ created timeless soul rock. │
│ │
│ Time is Now has a very sexy and very heavy bass line, which acts as the │
│ perfect platform for Dorian SorriauxÆs striking guitar riffs. │
│ Meanwhile, Cory BerryÆs impeccable funk-rock drumming leads the bandÆs │
│ hallucinogenic, spicy sound with accents and rolls that will have the │
│ blood racing round your body, getting warmer and warmer until you sweat │
│ from its utter brilliance. │
│ │
│ The pace is slowed down and jazzed up by Dig In. ElinÆs lyrics once │
│ again ring out and you find yourself downing a rum and coke whilst │
│ swaying around your kitchen, completely oblivious to your burning │
│ carrots. Nothing else matters when listening to Devil Man; Get loose │
│ and rock out. │
│ │
│ Whichever genre you want to fall into, Devil Man has moments to both │
│ surprise and delight everyone. ItÆs edgy and riffy and tranquil and │
│ calm simultaneously. The perfect antidote to everyone searching for a │
│ sound that tells them how they should feel. In fact, maybe itÆs just │
│ the perfect sound. │
│ │
│ ItÆs impossible not to love this album. Every one of its four members │
│ has a special talent, which flourishes and speaks out in confidence. Go │
│ back to the past and be thrown into the forefront of rock │
│ simultaneously. This really is an out-of-body band. Learn, listen and │
│ love. │
