║ ║
║ An Isle Ate Her is a hybrid of experimental death metal, grindcore ║
║ and mathcore and was technically formed in July 2007 under a ║
║ different name. For two and a half years Chaz, Collin, Matt and ║
║ various other members over time played countless shows and embarked ║
║ on a couple small scale tours, and at the same time were constantly ║
║ building their skills. At the beginning of 2010, they wrote two ║
║ songs which they knew were far beyond the ability of their former ║
║ moniker's current music. That's when An Isle Ate Her actually ║
║ started. AIAH took these songs and a few others and recorded ║
║ Desiderium, the band's debut EP, and released it digitally in July ║
║ of 2010. Since then, they met Eric, the band's first, full-time ║
║ bassist, played dozens of shows with local and national touring ║
║ acts alike, and wrote several new songs. These new songs were ║
║ recorded over the summer with Paul Hundeby of City of Ifa/City Pro ║
║ Recording, and released Phrenia on September 26th, 2011, which has ║
║ received nothing but positive reviews. AIAH plans to keep playing ║
║ shows and spread their insanity as far is it will go. ║
