  French label resident Matt Fax is back on Arrival after his acclaimed "Orion"
  EP. This EP, "Avalon", showcases two new progressive productions: "Avalon" and
  "Over The Edge". The title track starts out with a lush atmosphere consisting
  of soothing background pad layers and arpeggio lines. Soon, a multi-layered
  theme riff emerges, which is beautifully accompanied by a hypnotic bassline
  and frisky percussion elements. After the main break, the theme riff is
  layered up to an even higher degree, leading the track to its zenith. The
  B-side, "Over The Edge", similarly begins with a mesmerizing intro, consisting
  of well-crafted arpeggio melodies and pad layers. The addition of intermittent
  vocal stabs and variations to the arpeggio leads spice up the soundscape even
  more. The energetic theme riff, as well as intriguing sound effects, is
  showcased after the main break.
