  We're delighted to present a new EP by Sound Quelle on our parent label, the
  second to arrive on Silk Music this year by the phenomenally talented Russian
  veteran. An artist who is capable of writing textured and emotive music in
  numerous sub genres of electronic, Sound Quelle has chosen progressive as his
  medium of artistic expression this time around. Already supported on Above and
  Beyond's "Group Therapy" radio show, "Piece of Cake" jets out of the gate with
  a stormy groove and an ominous soundscape. Specifically, a haunting vocal
  sample soars above a beautiful piano motif. In the second half of the track, a
  roaring drop gives the track a ferocious, club-oriented rhythm. The next
  track, "Dusk," is also an up-tempo affair, featuring an uplifting chord
  progression and vocal stab sequence. A memorable lead theme in the main break
  is processed with an innovative delay effect, and the inspired drop to follow
  is also suitable for the dancefloor. Rounding out the EP, "Marmalade" is a
  much deeper cut, centering on a funky bassline. A signature theme of the track
  is a pitched-down vocal sample, which gently punctuates the summer-flavored
  groove.
