│ Switch & McGuyver are Aussie born DJ/producers Mathew │
│ Sallur & Craig Ellis. Their combined experience in the │
│ Australian dance music scene has developed from over │
│ 10 years in live performances, club DJing & radio │
│ shows whilst touring "down under". │
│ │
│ Born in Perth, Switch established his career spinning │
│ his sounds at underground parties & clubs in the early │
│ rave era. In 1995 he formed successful live 3-piece │
│ breakbeat outfit "inertia". Signed to Shock Records, │
│ national recognition and acclaim for the band was │
│ achieved through countless club gigs, festivals │
│ concerts as well as successful EP, album, videos and │
│ compilations. Peak performances for the group include │
│ Mobile Home NYE 99/00 (Bondi Beach with Carl Cox │
│ broadcast live worldwide on BBC) & Australia's largest │
│ festival, Big Day Out. Alongside electronic outfit │
│ "Infusion", inertia also supported touring headliners │
│ Bjork, The Prodigy & Paul Oakenfold to name a few. │
│ │
│ Switch's involvement in the dance scene took an │
│ international leap in 1999 when he gave birth to and │
│ created what is now the largest global dance radio │
│ station on the net, Pulseradio (www.pulseradio.net). │
│ │
│ McGuyver (Craig Ellis) was drawn to the dance scene in │
│ the early nineties after a stay in his native U.K. │
│ introduced him to the sounds of House, Techno & │
│ Breaks. A regular player in the Sydney rave & club │
│ scene, McGuyver earned respect by actively promoting │
│ and supporting the local scene and the talents within. │
│ McGuyver teamed up with Switch to form Pulseradio's │
│ most popular weekly tech house radio show "The All New │
│ Swank Sessions". A love for the same music inevitably │
│ formed the production duo "Switch Vs McGuyver" │
│ creating their own brand of bongo driven & melodic │
│ tech-tuff sounds. │
│ │
│ 2004 saw their debut release on Beat Code draw │
│ attention worldwide, the test press of "Big Banana / │
│ Project 99" became a house anthem at the Miami Winter │
│ Music Conference and the full release was awarded │
│ SUREPLAYER in Dj Magazine and was massively supported │
│ on Kiss Fm by John Digweed, Tom Stephan and Dave │
│ Mothersole. Big Banana's success sees it re-released │
│ with remixes from Dexter, Kriece & Jth in late 2004. │
│ │
│ 2005 will be the biggest year yet for Switch & │
│ McGuyver with releases including collaborations with │
│ Tony Thomas, Kriece, Jaimy (Netherlands) and remix │
│ duties so far for Josh Collins & David Michael. No │
│ doubt a heavy Dj schedule in Australia will continue │
│ and plans are underway for international dates. │
│ │
│ With influences including Tony Thomas, Phil Weeks, Jay │
│ Tripwire, Derrick Carter, Deep Dish, Peace Division, │
│ Tony Hewitt, Halo & Hipp-E, their new fresh sound is │
│ truely infectious. │
