piece London outfit Fuzz Against Junk cut their teeth jamming live at
underground house night Pretzel Logic at Brixton's Junction, also
home to the Basement Jaxx parties. Influenced as heavily by 80s funk
like Talking Heads and 70s punks The Clash as the electro, house and
hip-hop more usually cited by producers, their sound is best
described as a space funk riot where cellos and live percussion meet
filthy moogs and driving disco beats, around a framework of
unstoppable, momentous grooves. Check their debut single, 1998's
"Country Clonk", its Harvey-remixed successor "Born Under Punches" or
indeed their live show, for further proof of their infectious vibe.
