The deep house crew brings you once again a high quality release of
soulful dance music.. music with emotion that deserves the promotion..

New Phunk Theory are Chris Scott and Scott Bradford. Chris is perhaps
most famous as the producer behind the hugely successful Happy
Clappers, but is equally respected for his work on more underground
projects for smaller labels. Scott is one of the DJ's behind the
popular Newcastie club Shindig, the notoriety of which takes him all
over the world. The combination of Chris' exceptional production with
Scott's understanding of the dancefloor has led to some classic dance
     music.

Chris and Scott began to put tunes together in 1993, with the
Timeless E.P. released on Circuit Records. Critical and commercial
success meant that they soon worked together again - as blunted
chimps and waxworks for Shindig, and later as Shindig for Bomba
Records, releasing two further Timeless E.P's. The Wickermen's "Wanna
get high" on Shindig was another stormer and the success of the
previous Timeless E.P's led to Jus' Trax releasing one more in early
1995. Growing appreciation of their talents led to two dmc mixes of
Danny Tenaglia - "Look Ahead" and "Oh No" both more than cut the
     mustard.

New Phunk Theory was the logical progression for Chris and Scott.
Snapped up by Manchester's Paper Recordings. New Phunk Theory is
proper house music: crisp percussion with a tight b-line that keeps
the groove flowing, this is funk for the 21st century. "Phunk Theory
Theme"/bw "Danser", was made single of the week in Mixmag update, and
made a lasting impression on the nation's cooler dancefloors. The
second single "Honey Falls" taken from the full length outing on
Paper called "Just a Phase" which was a superb piece of music,
capturing the sound of that moment in house.
