Linux and the Android OS can be considered brothers because
of their common DNA. Although Android certainly contains
Linux, it extends it in ways that are specific to a mobile
platform. During the course, we will explore the Android
Operating System as well as how to develop applications for
it and prepare them for distribution either independently or
through the Google Market. This course is taught by a
Certified Java Professional and will teach you how to use Java
and the Google provided developer SDK to create exciting
applications for Android. Android concepts covered will start
with basic controls and form layouts to advanced UI components
and custom user created and third party libraries and
components. We will develop a full personalized task manager
during this course and then prepare it for distribution on the
Google Market.
