Floating Points releases a one-sided
12" on Eglo Records. 'Sparkling
Controversy' is a dub version of 'ARP3'
from his 2011 Shadows EP, the
original's slinky rhythm and melancholy
keys given a subtle layering of extra
electronic grit, the drums snapping and
shuffling with a touch more insistence.
Those more rhythmic elements are given
a little extra space to breathe and
evolve across the expansive, over seven
minute, running time making this a
perfect DJ tool as well as a fine re-
interpretation of a classic from the
Eglo stable.
