:: Records. ôState of the Artö is the new album and itÆs the ::
:: bandÆs 4th full-length. ItÆs also released on the mentioned ::

:: These guys are quite the creative unit, and ôState of the ::
:: Artö is their 3rd full-length in less than 2 years. I ::
:: havenÆt heard all their stuff, but most of it, and since I ::
:: liked their previous album and since these guys have some ::
:: great ideas, my expectations for the new album were pretty ::
:: big. ::
:: ::
:: And I have to say I was a bit disappointed during the first ::
:: listen through. It doesnÆt sound bad, but pretty much the ::
:: same as before. I was expecting a bit more this time, and ::
:: had a hope that Nordvrede would take a step forward. I ::
:: actually feel they have taken a small step backwards with ::
:: this release, as I find ôState of the Artö a bit weaker ::
:: than itÆs predecessor after x amounts of listen throughs. ::
:: There are still many good ideas here with cool riffs and ::
:: sections, but itÆs also a bit too monotone at times. I also ::
:: find the sound, and especially the vocals, slightly ::
:: tiresome in the long run. ::
:: ::
:: However, if you like raw, dark, brutal, intense and ::
:: straightforward black metal you should definitely check out ::
:: ôState of the Artö, since thereÆs a lot of good stuff here ::
:: as well. And either way it will be exciting to see what ::
:: Nordvrede will do next, because even though I find this ::
:: album a bit disappointing, I still have faith in this band. ::
