│║ Betrayal!!! That's the first word came to my ║ │
│║ mind when I discovered that Riot was thinking ║ │
│║ about recording a new album after Mark Reale's ║ │
│║ death. But then I got a little more information ║ │
│║ about that and it seems that the band is ║ │
│║ counting with the blessing of Mark's father, ║ │
│║ Tony Reale. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Although I used to buy Riot's albums without ║ │
│║ even listening to them. It was different this ║ │
│║ time, I wanted more information. I knew that Don ║ │
│║ Van Stavern, the bassist, was the main writter ║ │
│║ together with Mark in older albums of the band ║ │
│║ but I want to listen to the album before buying. ║ │
│║ After looking all around internet, the only ║ │
│║ thing I got were a couple of fake torrents and, ║ │
│║ finally, some samples in Amazon Japanese site. ║ │
│║ But that was enough for me to buy the album and, ║ │
│║ now I have listened to it a couple of times, I ║ │
│║ can confirm it's an amazing record. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The new singer, ex-Reverence Todd Michael Hall, ║ │
│║ is perfect for the music of the band. Not only ║ │
│║ for this album but past records as well, look ║ │
│║ for Youtube videos and you will see what I'm ║ │
│║ talking about. The new guitar player, Nik Lee, ║ │
│║ is the right partner to Mike Flyntz, who already ║ │
│║ had taken great importance after Reale's ║ │
│║ illness. The solos of the album are great, not ║ │
│║ only technically but with great melodies too: ║ │
│║ powerfull riffs, exciting twin harmonies... ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Although the album will be edited with band ║ │
│║ "new" name, Riot V, it has been published with ║ │
│║ the word Riot on its cover in Japan. This ║ │
│║ Japanese edition has been published almost two ║ │
│║ months before the rest of the world and is ║ │
│║ including a bonus live track. Please, take this ║ │
│║ album not as betrayal but as tribute to Mark ║ │
│║ Reale. Forget this is Reale's band without him. ║ │
│║ And you will enjoy an amazing Power/Speed/Heavy ║ │
│║ Metal record with a sound hard to find nowadays. ║ │

│║ The Return of the Riot, now called Riot V from ║ │
│║ the sad death in 2012 of founding guitarist Mark ║ │
│║ Reale (dep) was all a test to see if ║ │
│║ compositionally group looked very depleted or if ║ │
│║ they could keep the level shown in the "Super ║ │
│║ Immortal Soul "with Tony Moore 2011 again in the ║ │
│║ micro.s ║ │
│║ Well, they have not only matched, I think they ║ │
│║ have even surpassed, with a great album of ║ │
│║ melodic power metal, flavored "Thundersteel" ║ │
│║ (magnum opus 88) and hints of "Nightbreaker" ║ │
│║ length and width of their twelve tracks ║ │
│║ (thirteen Japanese edition) fast attack us with ║ │
│║ issues, with sharp riffs, riffs and elaborate ║ │
│║ long, powerful voice of former Burning Starr and ║ │
│║ Reverence, Todd Michael Hall, well mixed with ║ │
│║ hard issues and more rested (remembering ║ │
│║ "Narita" or "Fire Down Under") and of course ║ │
│║ ballads, two in which concrete and better. ║ │
│║ Mark Reale course this where it can be proud of ║ │
│║ the musical direction the Riot still maintaining ║ │
│║ its fifteenth V in this release is that it is ║ │
│║ actually a tribute to him. In both ballads ║ │
│║ album, Immortal and Until We Meet Again are ║ │
│║ clear references to Mark, both in lyrics and in ║ │
│║ the recording of his voice at the end of the ║ │
│║ second. The letter of the first has very nice ║ │
│║ phrases, such as "Twinkle, twinkle in the ║ │
│║ darkest night, your music is forever" and ║ │
│║ certainly much of the discography of Riot is ║ │
│║ immortal, definitely a great band, but with ║ │
│║ something underrated Stuff. In the second we get ║ │
│║ caught with their epic air guitar riffs very ║ │
│║ emotional. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ á ║ │
│║ Since its inception in 1977 with "Rock City" ║ │
│║ through "Restless Breed" and tightening their ║ │
│║ sound "Thundersteel" and "The Privilege of ║ │
│║ Power" or the stage with Dimeo in works like ║ │
│║ "Inishmore" or "Sons of Society" the band has ║ │
│║ always delivered good songs hymns and his ║ │
│║ followers. It is also true that some discs are ║ │
│║ somewhat irregular, can not deceive us, but the ║ │
│║ guitar and talent Reale made ??the songs had a ║ │
│║ plus. ║ │
│║ On the cover seal resume, your pet, but this ║ │
│║ time well and with an ax handle in hand, at the ║ │
│║ same there are several details that recall his ║ │
│║ former guitarist, like a sign reading "Reale ║ │
│║ Way" and another mint "Blood Street "(as the ║ │
│║ subject of great album of 88) and there is a ║ │
│║ local by the name of Johnny, referring to the ║ │
│║ protagonist of the lyrics of his song Johnny's ║ │
│║ back, also from" Thundersteel ". ║ │
│║ On the disc are as explosive material pepinazos ║ │
│║ Ride Hard Live Free (excellent, very classic ║ │
│║ intro trademark riffs and Nivelon) Metal Warrior ║ │
│║ (this worked very well in their upcoming gigs ║ │
│║ with a really handsome riff on 3 minute and ║ │
│║ metalera attitude to die), the melodic Fall from ║ │
│║ the Sky and Land of the Rising Sun (imagine that ║ │
│║ dedicated to his legion of fans in Japan, with ║ │
│║ sound very Loudness of the eighties stage of ║ │
│║ albums like "Thunder in the East "or" Hurricane ║ │
│║ Eyes "), powerful blasts of metal as my favorite ║ │
│║ Bring the Hammer Down a brutal chorus, the title ║ │
│║ track fuming and returns you to the best time of ║ │
│║ the group, go portalians !! cannon. Nor let me ║ │
│║ Kill to Survive and Manowarria Fight, Fight, ║ │
│║ Fight with the chorus pressing relentlessly on a ║ │
│║ track, so once simple, but effective. ║ │
│║ Two issues are well crafted, but the beats down ║ │
│║ a bit and getting into more dynamic hards are ║ │
│║ Return of the Outlaw (Outlaw nod to his subject ║ │
│║ in the title) and Take me Back with good riffs ║ │
│║ and choruses eighties with precise balance ║ │
│║ between power and melody. ║ │
│║ The rhythm section is at high level, but I like ║ │
│║ more Bobby Jarzombek Frank Gilchriest (Virgin ║ │
│║ Steele, Riot in his "Army of One") in Bataca, ║ │
│║ which is no slouch but I think that has less ║ │
│║ resources and their patterns are more typical. ║ │
│║ Those axes are well inspired Flyntz Mike Lee and ║ │
│║ Nick both riffeo level as guitar solos, all ║ │
│║ giving a recital with your instrument, it is ║ │
│║ clear that not reach Reale talent, but leave us ║ │
│║ in good taste this "Unleash the Fire" ║ │
│║ Todd in this phenomenal micro, singing with grit ║ │
│║ and releasing very good treble, some might ║ │
│║ prefer to Tony Moore, but there is no doubt that ║ │
│║ Todd has done really well here. Production has ║ │
│║ also seemed brutal, according to the musical ║ │

│║ In short, I think this is one of the best ║ │
│║ releases this year, heavy melodic power along ║ │
│║ with Grave Digger or Night Mistress for a server ║ │
│║ for now the most prominent of this post. Riot ║ │
│║ has become and how, this seal is angry and ║ │
│║ leaves no prisoners, destroying everything !!. ║ │
│║ Nearly five horns, 8.80 Jalfords to "Unleash the ║ │
