Part of a dozen fresh tracks that comprised the "Spring Particles 2014"
compilation, LoQuai and "The Native Language" shone brightly in seasonal
change. The prodigious Russian, with 650 production credits to his name for
such distinguished labels as Mistique, Jetlag Digital and 7 Seas, now follows
two previous Particles remixes with a full release of the shimmering, bouncing
original, and remixes from Sweden, India and Italy. An illustrious quartet of
producers and DJs, Swedish outfit Inkfish, features the pared down duo of
either Andreas Hermansson or Mattias Lindblom in current production work. With
a portfolio of work stretching back to 1996, and continuing with May 2014's
compelling "Vemodia" EP, their own Inkfish Recordings has become a regular
home as further legion credits have found their way to such notable imprints
as Bedrock, Parquet and Mirabilis. A number one Beatport hit has ensured
legendary status while multiple genre top tens demonstrate continued success.
A sextet of Particles remixes including Sed Project, Verve and Asten have
radiated this talent further and a seventh remix now captures the essence of
the original as Lindblom's Inkfish remix of "The Native Language" sees a deep,
pulsating bass line combine with rhythmic stabs and tuned percussion to create
a deeply impressive affair, fully resonant with LoQuai's original as
additional melodic production adds yet another glittering layer. Indian
producer, Praveen Achary is the mastermind behind the rapid success of the
Juicebox Music imprint. A successful DJ across his homeland at festivals such
as "Sunburn" and "Submerge Supernova", Achary's skills on the decks have
seamlessly translated to the world of production. Music signed to Perspectives
Digital, Outside The Box and Replug, represent high-calibre achievement, while
support from industry leading lights, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Henry
Saiz, demonstrate sustained credibility and relevance. Debuting on Particles,
the Praveen Achary remix follows a deeper path as sustained pads and soft
melodies gently sway in wondrous melodic arrangement. A clicking, ticking
percussive groove provides crisp juxtaposition as all elements combine to
provide a subtle reminder of LoQuai's original work. Hailing from the
beautiful Tuscany region of Italy, Danny Lloyd's early ear for music was
nurtured by his mother, developing into a passion for electronic forms and an
"innate eclectic sensitivity". Dalliances with a variety of genres ultimately
led Lloyd to a distinctive sound that has been championed by labels including
Balkan Connection, Lowbit and Bellarine. Regular collaborative work with
fellow Italian, Andrea Cassino, has enhanced Lloyd's reputation further as he
now returns to Particles. Two early remixes in 2009 and 2010 were followed by
2014's transcendent remix of Anthony Yarranton's "Bag of Bells", while a
fourth remix now sees the continuation of this form through the effortless,
groove-laden gem of Lloyd's interpretation of "The Native Language". A
hypnotic bass line and driving percussion forges a strong path while soft
melodic motifs shimmer in delayed and reversed glory. A scintillating arpeggio
delivers further joy in the final movements to create an uplifting picture
full of skill and passion. A trio of new remixes sees "The Native Language"
spoken by LoQuai heard the world over on Particles. Directed by Jay Epoch
