The live experience is central to what Gary Clark, Jr. is about. His mesh of
soul, R&B, and electric blues is hard to wrap your head around, but it all seems
to make sense once he steps out on stage. Therefore, the live album always
seemed like a foregone conclusion for him; the guy definitely has a Live At
Leeds or an At Budokhan in him. Come September, thatÆs exactly what weÆre
getting wen Clark releases his first live album, LIVE.

The double album consists of Clark originals and covers of everyone from Jimi
Hendrix to Albert Collins and Robert Petway. The album promises to further
expand ClarkÆs considerable gift for arrangement, using his excellent Blak & Blu
and his 2013 remix EP as a groundwork.
