          _description.: Red Axes, the Tel Aviv-based duo of Niv Arzi and Dori
                         Sadovnik release their debut full length courtesy of
                         French imprint I'm A Cliche. Battle Of The Ice follows
                         several strong EP's for the Parisian label, and finds
                         the production partners stretching out and expounding
                         on their post-punk/cold-wave indebted sound. They try
                         on early-80's styles like hats, tackling skanky dub on
                         "Only A Clown Can Catch An Axe", pre-programmed
                         lounge/Bossa Nova on "Papa Sooma" and Italian proto-
                         house on "Road To The Hills". Other highlights include
                         the sleazy, cowbell-laced "Kicks Out Of You" and
                         spirited Bauhaus cover "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

                         Promo CD has one more extra track than retail one.
