            70s disco and funk outfit Gypsy Lane did only cut one LP under
            their own name, "Predictions" which was put out on Drive in 1978.
            However, being the brainchild of Miami based French producer
            Jacques Morali - the creator of Village People - all members of
            Gypsy King had major prior experience as session musicians. The
            core unit, of Russell Dabney, Alfonso Carey, Jimmy Lee, Rodger
            Lee and Nathanial Wilkie, all played with James Brown and Patti
            LaBelle before hooking up with Morali's Can't Stop Productions
            and becoming important studio musicians for Village People and
            The Richie Family.
