Release Note ......::
Airwave continues his reign as progressive master to deliver another absolute
stomper entitled Carre. His last outing with DJ Fire, Without Roots, is still
enjoying high positions on various charts and playlists. DJing is still a big
focus for Airwave and he is enjoying gigs and some very cool and exotic places
so be sure to catch a glimpse if he comes your way. Backed up with two stunning
remixes we are sure there is something for everyone here. The Original Mix
gives off a real deep progressive vibe which is evident right from the off as
pounding kicks are joined by distant percussions and a deep droning bass sound.
Various layers start to build and bring a steady flowing rhythm within a super
tight arrangement. In perfect Airwave style you start to feel the intensity as
pads begin to rise. Bright melodic flavours offer stark contrasts that work so
well with darker elements. We end up locked in a beautifully constructed
progressive groove and can only be described a simply sublime, top notch yet
again and a definite must have. Hailing out of Poland we have Monojoke up first
on remix duty. This guy is a very much in demand artist due to his diverse
range of skills which he utilises to deliver top quality every time he touches
his own productions or remixes. He has seen a couple of remixes appear on our
compilations in the past and we are delighted to see him grace these shores
once more. The remix intros with a very cool display of percussive patterns as
well as an ebbing and flowing synth. A large bass pluck is backed with a very
cool rising arp that leads us up to the main track where a smooth punchy kick
drives the groove. The main bass takes the track up a gear as it relentlessly
delivers its powerful progressive force. On the break the synths take over
delivering cool melodic phrases that match perfectly with that deep sub bass
effect. A fantastic journey that you will not want to miss. Rise and Fall
delivers another top notch remix which we have come to expect given his recent
efforts. A firm favourite among many we last saw him with his wonderful Seize
The Day back in early summer this year. Here the remix intros with a nice
punchy kick with subtle percussions littering the background alongside a
sweeping pad. A warm bass pluck sets the tone and is soon joined by a much
deeper bass which provides a solid platform. Short synth riffs are accompanied
by cool FX as a hypnotic arp begins to rise. The break reveals a very cool
display of pads that lead us back into the main groove for the remainder of
this epic slice of prog, superb stuff.
