- NOTES
The Third and The Mortal was founded in 1992 by Rune
Hoemsnes, Finn Olav Holthe, Geir Nilssen, Trond Engum and
Kari Rueslσtten. The mission was to bring their ideas and
impulses together in order to create a unique sound.
Since their first release in 1993 this unique sound has
been captured through a various of dedicated fans all over
the world.
Together with the basic line up that creates the
characteristic mortal sound, the band have co-operated
with other musicians during the recording period in order
to get new impulses in the production. This has resolved in a
wider and more massive musical expression.
The music is a mixture between analogue and digital
created sounds, massive drums, dub bass, innovative
guitars, mellow strings, programming and vocals.
As a whole the music is best described as a melancholic,
massive "musique noir".
Projekt Bluebook (A Decade Of Endeavor), an album
featuring two new studio recordings as well as five
unreleased live tracks.
