Jurassic 5's Charli 2NA Set To Release Mixtape, Fish
Market, On 11-9-04
While their self-titled 1997 EP set off a major label
bidding war and after two critically acclaimed LP's,
2000's Quality Control & 2002's Power In Numbers, Jurassic
5╞s Charli 2NA makes his foray into the solo-realm with
his 17-cut mixtape Fish Market.
Jurassic 5's roots lie in the L.A. underground scene, and
Charli's mixtape, Fish Market, is a return to those roots;
as the mixtape is seamlessly blended by Slum Village's
resident DJ, DJ Dez, and includes collaborations with
Linkin Park, Dilated People's Evidence and Rakka, Kardinal
Offishal, Jurassic 5 members Akil and Marc 7 and
underground staples Supernatual and Rasco.
In addition to releasing Fish Market, Charli will join his
Jurassic 5 mates on the Vote For Change Tour for six dates
in early October; which will also include Bruce
Springsteen, Pearl Jam, R.E.M. and Dave Matthews Band
