█ Holy hell! I may have stumbled upon the best album █
█ since the founding of Vendetta Magazine. This █
█ album is pure gold, ladies and gentlemen. It is █
█ The Hole, coming to us from sunny Las Palmas, █
█ Spain. ThatÆs a bit weird since the music █
█ presented here is brutal, dark and filled with █
█ anger. The music flows onto my eardrums with █
█ relentless speed and force from the intro on. I █
█ usually donÆt care much about intros, but here █
█ even that is done with brilliance (thereÆs what I █
█ assume is Arabic chanting in it!). And then from █
█ the second track on itÆs a killer ride of awesome █
█ death and thrash metal. This sort of thing is my █
█ bag, baby! █
█ This Spanish group got together in 2010 and █
█ consists of merited metal heads. There seems to be █
█ people from Scandelion for instance. A fantastic █
█ combination they have created. The Hole is █
█ something this genre (or these genres) really █
█ needed. A breath of fresh air. On the other hand █
█ they play rather traditional death and thrash but █
█ at the same time they donÆt. They take influences █
█ from black metal, at least thatÆs what I hear in █
█ some guitar solos. ThereÆs also a maracas playing █
█ at some point. You donÆt usually hear those used █
█ in metal. █
█ Singer Edu Rodriguez relies on deep growls that at █
█ times remind me of Mikael Stanne and in the next █
█ moment Soulfly pops into my head. Needless to say █
█ he does an excellent job. Edu also handles the █
█ bass duties. Ancor Ramφrez (lead) and Pab Guerrero █
█ are the masterminds behind awesome guitars █
█ delivering killer riffs and solos throughout the █
█ album. Simply amazing stuff! H.Lorenzo is a beast █
█ behind the drums. In their press kit the band █
█ announce they are looking for a lead guitarist to █
█ replace Ancor Amador. So metal heads of Las █
█ Palmas, I urge you to audition. █
█ My favorite track is definitely the fourth track, █
█ æHellrideÆ. The reason is already in the title. █
█ ItÆs a hell of a ride. Brutal, superfast, dark, █
█ awesome drums, awesome guitarsàneed I go on. Also █
█ the second track, æCrushinÆÆ is brilliant █
█ containing great guitar solos. There really isnÆt █
█ a bad song in the album. Time flies by this this █
█ about three-quarter-long album. I need another █
█ spin. And another. I feel the urge to jump around █
█ the room as to make my very own mosh pit. Please █
█ (enter deity) make this band come to Finland so █
█ that I can fulfill my urge in proper forum. █
█ There really isnÆt much else to say. The HoleÆs █
█ debut full-length, æA Monument To The End Of The █
█ WorldÆ is the best album I have reviewed so far. █
█ Everything is done perfectly from the production █
█ to the album cover. So boys and girls, here is the █
█ first 10 of my career as a reviewer. The bar has █
