who is aim? what is hinterland? aim is one of the most popular djs

and original members of the grand central records roster.

hinterland is the title of aim's second album.

hinterland opens with old skool hip hop from oakland's souls of

mischief performing no restriction. souls of mischief [trilogy:

conflict, climax, resolution - hieroglyphics imperium, 2000]

deliver west coast cali-style rap that is smooth and full of flow.

comment by producer andy turner himself:

"their anthem, "93 'till infinity", is one of my favourite ever

records. i wasn't into the nuts and bolts of making hip-hop back

then, and to me, this track just sounded magical. i sent them four

beats from which they all agreed on this one. they came to

manchester and we recorded the vocals at the old grand central

studios on tib street with steve christian. i felt blessed when i

     heard them lay it down."

note: this must be some sort of advance/promo copy, as i couldnt

find any online reference to it.
