Just when you thought you had them sussed
out, the Groove Armada boys return with a new
single that's all set to confuse and bemuse.
The first taster of the lads' forthcoming
album, 'Purple Haze' is a brilliant slab of
deep down dirty funk that's a million miles
away from anything else on their previous
albums. Featuring the raucous vocals of
Kentucky bred hip-hop outfit Nappy Roots
pitched against the lyrics of Jamaican MC Red
Rat, it's a rollercoaster collision of bad
attitude, in-yer-face lyrics, punishing
guitar riffs and dirty beats that moves
Groove Armada to a different level entirely.
Whilst the bonus tracks, 'Lovebox' (gorgeous
uplifting Balearia) and 'Ooh Baby' (funk fest
with vocals from Horace Andy), just add to
