| Villeneuves compositions spring from a fantasmic vision of pop |
| music in the widest sense. A sensorial universe where the melodic |
| euphoria of the sixties merge with the crude larsens of indie rock |
| and the futuristic discoveries of electronica. A universe where |
| French chanson rules and presides over rhythms, atmospheres, |
| jammings, orchestrations and harmonies. |

| Fans of the weird love Villeneuve for his vocals on the last M83 |
| album, and dancefloor aficionados for his remix and new |
| interpretation of Agoria. Villeneuve has proved his impressive |
| vocal mastery, especially in Gooom tracks 2, Catalogue 2003 and So |
| Classic compilations, even in the uncerebral environment of the |
| dancefloor. |

| With his first Ep Graceland, Villeneuve experiments with different |
| forms of writing, from acidic moments to more tense pieces, in |
| limbo between electro-acoustic music and post-rock. Sung in French |
| or in English by Melanie Pain, also heard on the Nouvelle Vague |
| (Peace frog) album, Villeneuves music remains enigmatic for its |
| embroiled perceptions. The artist proves that the home studio is |
| the ultimate answer to alleviate the boredom that has pervaded pop |
| music. With this Ep, an hors d'oeuvres just before the release of |
| the new album scheduled at Pias for beginning 2005, the |
| twenty-seven year old Villeneuve can already be considered an |
| accomplished producer, richer from the legacy of the Beach Boys, |
| My Bloody Valentine or Aphex Twin and who deeply respects French |
| chanson. |
