║ The Helix Nebula are a 4-piece Instrumental Progressive Metal band ║
║ hailing from Sydney, Australia. Starting as a 2 piece studio ║
║ project between Jake Howsam Lowe (Guitar) and Simon Grove ║
║ (Bass/Production) in late 2010, the band released 3 demo tracks and ║
║ garnered praise from the international progressive scene. ║
║ ║
║ In 2011 the band recruited Nic Tresise (Drums) and Stephen Taranto ║
║ (Guitar) and set about writing and recording their debut EP. At the ║
║ end of 2012 the band unleashed their brand of melodic, technical ║
║ metal on a live audience for the first time, supporting Between The ║
║ Buried and Me and Animals As Leaders at the sold-out Metro Theatre ║
║ in Sydney, Australia. ║

║ 2014 has seen The Helix Nebula release their debut EP ôMeridianö to ║
║ high praise from the online progressive community. Combining a ║
║ mixture of varied influences, to create a highly melodic, technical ║
║ and progressive debut release The Helix Nebula are a band with a ║
║ bright future. ║
