│║ Description : ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ This time I needed something more than a lap to ║ │
│║ confirm that the new album of the Japanese ║ │
│║ Anthem is, if not another masterpiece, yes ║ │
│║ another masterful job. I made it to the second, ║ │
│║ because on first listen you feel like Rocky in ║ │
│║ the first assault. And it's not a masterpiece ║ │
│║ because they have other albums that are yes, and ║ │
│║ more than one. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Absolute World is certainly another excellent ║ │
│║ example of how to transform a genre riddled with ║ │
│║ clichΘs, clichΘs, platitudes and, perhaps ║ │
│║ because among other reasons, with little ║ │
│║ prestige, something decent, respectable, ║ │
│║ admirable, fascinating ... honorable. Because ║ │
│║ they give the curve when others follow straight ║ │
│║ driven by inertia, because they discover ║ │
│║ unexpected landscapes where others are ║ │
│║ accommodated after repeated transparencies ║ │
│║ because the mundane becomes exciting, and ║ │
│║ because its undeniably oriental melodies make it ║ │
│║ all sound new and fresh. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ For this new album they have released the bench ║ │
│║ to his former singer Yukio Morikawa, somewhat ║ │
│║ less aggressive in their interpretations, to ║ │
│║ replace the large Eizo Sakamoto, and have placed ║ │
│║ in the battery at a beast called Isamu Tamaru ║ │
│║ (who had played with them before) to replace ║ │
│║ Hirotsugu Homma. But there are still two ║ │
│║ masters: the brain Naoto Shibata, composer of ║ │
│║ the band bassist and extraordinary; Akio Shimizu ║ │
│║ and amazing guitar that plays on this album the ║ │
│║ best solos I've heard this year alongside Paul ║ │
│║ Gilbert ... The stories We Could tell Mr. Big. I ║ │
│║ think not say no outrage when I say that there ║ │
│║ is no band (none) having a level of quality, a ║ │
│║ discography, and continuing excellence Anthem ║ │
│║ show about to turn thirty-year career. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The album, which benefits from an impeccable ║ │
│║ production, as usual, is a joy that no less ║ │
│║ surprising: a band that works excellent bill, ║ │
│║ one after another, casting doubt on how they may ║ │
│║ have such a deep well which keeps well talent, ║ │
│║ spark, surprise, hope, strength, anger, ║ │
│║ intelligence and flair for melody. This ║ │
│║ production allows us to appreciate the unique ║ │
│║ sound of the band and enjoy the elegant low ║ │
│║ Shibata, nuanced, endless ideas, decorations, ║ │
│║ orders, details and accompaniments, although ║ │
│║ cane carrying some of the songs on the album. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ But who knows Anthem knows there is something ║ │
│║ compelling in his songs: the powerful magic ║ │
│║ heavy metal compatibility and dazzling melodies ║ │
│║ that plague their staves and inciting sing but ║ │
│║ the faintest idea of Japanese is known. These ║ │
│║ melodies are embodied in triple choruses ║ │
│║ (preestribillo-chorus-postestribillo) that many ║ │
│║ would take advantage to three songs; but others ║ │
│║ are not Anthem. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Another noteworthy feature is the original ║ │
│║ structure of the songs that incorporate guitar ║ │
│║ solo after the first round of the stanza, ║ │
│║ leaving the listener lying, as they get an ║ │
│║ intensity that never decays, and further enhance ║ │
│║ the output of only one of his choruses or a ║ │
│║ brutal bridge. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Regardless of whether the album is brilliant as ║ │
│║ a whole, contains three masterpieces: the ║ │
│║ luminous "Pain", a classic heavy metal song with ║ │
│║ extraordinary intensity, guitars that sound like ║ │
│║ little, low Shibata showing your instrument does ║ │
│║ not only produces background sound that ║ │
│║ monotonous, and above all that, the melodic line ║ │
│║ with denomination of origin Anthem. To round, ║ │
│║ pounding chorus topped with a masterful ║ │
│║ postestribillo and a subtle chorus but that, ║ │
│║ once heard, are essential for the contrast of ║ │
│║ softness with the power of the instrumentation. ║ │
│║ Not everything is stridently. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The second masterpiece of the album is "Love of ║ │
│║ hell", while almost half stupefying the most ║ │
│║ skeptical: one thinks that after the first round ║ │
│║ has heard the refrain, but that was not, is what ║ │
│║ comes next: dazzling. Shimizu's solo is to enjoy ║ │
│║ it. Gift an excellent bridge after the solo and ║ │
│║ some delicate piano arrangements. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The third: "Do not let it day", which I ║ │
│║ interpret as a kind of revisiting his classic ║ │
│║ "The Juggler" because of its similar structure ║ │
│║ and some tunes. This display comes around to ║ │
│║ give these tunes; the result is epic. I will not ║ │
│║ lead to explanations of the excellence of each ║ │
│║ of the latter glory of this song. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ As always, the instrumental piece that perhaps ║ │
│║ this is not the best they've recorded, "Absolute ║ │
│║ figure", so it stays in low outstanding, as some ║ │
│║ of the other songs that are there or ║ │
│║ outstanding, because there are to choose from ║ │
│║ epic-lively start with "Shine on" until the ║ │
│║ irresistible preestribillo of "In the chaos". ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ No, currently no one sounds like Anthem. These ║ │
│║ guys are great, although not as well known as ║ │
│║ they deserve. Often, many, greatness of artists ║ │
│║ do not have a reflection in popularity, and need ║ │
│║ not give examples because there are more of ║ │
│║ these cases than in those who did not. ║ │
