yet another new discovery mined by Opal Tapes. This is probably one of the
label's most haunting, mature releases yet, created with a wide palette of tones
and textures at the shadowier end of the spectrum. Over its nine tracks we're
reminded of a wealth of artists we love and respect, ranging from the solemn
quietude of Craig Tattersall and the Cotton Goods gang in opener 'Mute', to
Wanda Group at his most spectral in 'Hegels Dream' and the curious sample
layering of 'Everything Me', whilst the sanguine symphonics of 'Growth Window'
comes off like an Akira Rabelais incidental to a very sad porno, sex noise
inclusive.
