One of the most successful German D.I.Y.-Bands shifts
up another gear: only shortly after the release of
their first live-DVD on their own label, Janitor
Records, the Berlin-based trio already present their
new studio album: "Rocket boy". It's the eleventh
studio album of the German-American band and again
offers Pothead at their best. Maybe a bit darker than
the almost happy, Blues-like predecessor, "Chaudiere",
"Rocket boy" quickly unfolds the typical flair and
juggles with different styles. "Leg bone", e.g., with
its almost Doom-like guitars, the title track is
melancholic, thoughtful, the following "Bring" even
goes another step further. The rest of the 14 tracks on
"Rocket boy" feature the typical trademarks. So you
can/must say: everything as it ever was, and yet,
completely new again. Pothead-fans won't be
dissatisfied, if you want to become acquainted with
their sound for the first time, this album is the
perfect chance so you should better take it -
disappointment impossible!
