Selim Cenkel, a 25 year old who was born in Istanbul,
developed a liking for electronic dance music at a very
early age. Organizing parties at the age of 16 with friends
marks his first experiences as a dj. Moving to Boston for a
university degree, had a profound impact on his musical
taste; with frequent trips to New York, he is one of those
whose lives have been touched by legendary club Twilo.
Playing at various parties in Boston helped him develop a
new, deeper style apparent on his dj sets. After receiving a
bachelor's degree from business administration, he moved to
New York. There, he played at random parties as well as
Liquids in the east village with fellow dj friends. Moving
towards the techy side in the recent years Selim's sets
include everything from deep house to techno. Always keeping
a minimal tech edge to his music, he combines consistent
elements into his sets.
