Official limited deluxe reissue-CD of the ultimate Brazilian classic:
Arthur Verocai "Arthur Verocai" comes with unpublished pictures of the
1972 recording session and remastered audio. To coincide with the
performance of Arthur Verocai and the Kindred Spirits Ensemble on
October 16th 2011, Kindred Spirits releases the collectors edition of
this Brazilian classic. Originally released in 1972, the self-titled
album by Arthur Verocai became one of the most sought after releases
from Brazil to date. The last copy on ebay went over $5000. The entire
album is a true masterpiece, containing funk flavorings, a touch of
folk, jazz style soloing, 20 piece string arrangements, the blending
of electronics and keyboards with organic sounds and superb soundtrack
style music.

By 1972, I was producing and making musical arrangements for the album
of Celia, a great singer of Continental Records, when she mentioned
the interest of Continental in releasing my sole author album. I was
very happy but I imposed one condition: no one should interfere with
my work. It was not a commercial hit, and the album would never sell
millions of copies. I was an idealist musican and an enthusiast of
good music ready to transpire, inspire myself on, and share my best
influences.
