His life, his music, his philosophy
MakoumbΘ, percussionist, singer-song writer, composer, believes that music is
the foundation to communicate with the people and for self expression.
He is a part of a generation of musicians that are contributing their deep
musical roots through reggae music. His music blends African and Haitian
rhythms, with Reggae. Makoumbe hopes to ignite Radah (means energy in ancient
African language) through his music. He uses percussion to spread the message of
love, positivity and life, as the drum represents the human heartbeat.
