│ Incredible deep jazzy house from the deep label Toko. Read │

│ slice of deep jazz fuelled goodies with 'Lounge Lizard' │

│ heroes Alec & Paul storm the floor with their ever popular │

│ b side we have 'Basement Vibe' in two mixes the first of │
│ which chills to the bone and is cool as you like while the │
│ 'Trailer Trash Mix' kicks off a bit with its driving drums │
│ and amazing rhythm sections. Quality house music you'll │
│ struggle to beat!" │

│ satisfied until the proverbial cows come home. 'Lounge │
│ Lizard' is a bright trumpet infected groove where the bass │
│ prods through the percussion and keys. The 'Attaboy Mix' │
│ utilises familiar horn and string stabs and a clunking │
│ keyboard backing.'Basement Vibe' gets yet more of the jazz │
│ sentiment drizzled through it's deep runnings, which leave │
│ you wallowing in your chair like a pig in shit. House music │
│ that is suited for the home and the dancefloor, as is the │
│ 'Trailer Trash' mix of 'basement Vibe'. Here a gritty groove │
│ gives a ride to an almost argumentative screeching sax part, │
│ which howls out for your attention above the bouncing bass." │

│ some great news in the form of Mettle Music Collective's │
│ "EPTwo". This deep 4-cut (2 originals + 2 remixes) │
│ instrumental EP is very reminiscent of Paper Recordings' │
│ early works, Aqua Bassino or Salt City Orchestra (which │
│ makes sense, since Attaboy (Paul Ingall, Alec Greenhough and │
│ Si Brad, the latter formerly of Salt City Orchestra, come in │
│ to remix "Lounge Lizard"). I personnaly always loved this │
│ jazzy UK sound, and we hadn't heard much of it lately, so │
│ this EP is definitely welcome! Plus, the pressing is │
│ *incredible*" │
