Well known Russian DJ and producer Alexander Fedosov aka DaSmokin'Frogz debuts
on BP with this superb three tracker entitled 'Hidden Door'. Alexander also
goes by the names Patrick P and P. Lankton, he runs his own radioshows like
Family Business on Pure.FM and has seen releases on labels such as Carica,
Vise Versa, Baroque, TrippleFire, Reelaux and Pure Substance. First up we get
right into the deep progressive house vibes of the title track 'Hidden Door'.
The intro sets off with a cool raspy FX line that leads nicely into a punchy
kick and crisp hat combination. The super low bass resonates through the
grooves as the track gains momentum. Plucky notes provide a slither of melody
that fits well into the deeper vibe while a cool modulated arp sweeps in and
out, brilliant stuff! 'Flex' goes straight for the jugular with a heavy
layered bass powering through from the off. Very cool percussive FX form the
beginnings of a solid rhythmic sequence as the layers build. The track breaks
into smooth tech vibes as a vocal sample creeps in. Cool housey keys are
loitering at the rear before crashing back into that superb deep bass
structure, top class production! 'Shadowz' rounds up this fantastic package
with a full on tech fuelled ride. Rhythms flow from the intro as a well
crafted percussion and kick section take hold. Again we see a heavy and deep
bass take centre stage as it pounds out a strong groove. The break delivers a
superb vocal that adds amazing texture to the sound as it dominates the
biggest part of the track. Great track and sure to be destined for many sets!
