Following more than a year of gruelling preparation, former rugby union player
and adventurer Richard Parks attempts to enter the record books by trying to
become the fastest-ever person to ski 1,150km without support from the coast of
Antarctica to the South Pole. Richard has to cover at least 50km a day while
pulling a 68kg sled to break the record of Norwegian Christian Eide, but four
days into his attempt, blizzards slow his progress to such an extent that he
is forced to consider returning to base. Last in the series
