Ahead of his Deep Down & Defected Volume 7 mix album,
Franky Rizardo drops this three track EP taster,
revisiting æFreakÆ by Sandy Rivera & Haze æIn Da ClubÆ
by Copyright feat. Mr V & Miss Patty and Pete Tong &
S.Y.FÆs æDawnÆ.
His remix of æFreakÆ takes the track to a darker,
dubbier, place than the original but keeps the intense
baseline intact. RizardoÆs edit of æIn Da ClubÆ is again
darker than its original version, with the hip-hop
vocals from Mr V and Miss Patty overlaying a heavy kick
and bass combo. æDawnÆ is kept slightly closer to the
original, with Rizardo giving the cut a new edge with a
dubbier version that moves away from the more upbeat
original to something more seductive.
