For almost 3 years now, Jazzy Butterfly Records has tried with to produce
in a digital way the best electronic music there is, not focusing on the
quantity but the quality. Wether it's House, Deep or even Techno. And with
their 13th release they won't do anything but the same. When Ireland meets
Belgium, it gives an ep made by 2 people in love with a City, a City that
has influenced for years their musical experience. It gives The Detroit EP
by Matthew Collins and Jemaho. Matthew starts with << Detroit Dreams >>, a
deep techno track with acid elements, followed by << We Control The Soul
>>. And that's exactly what the second track does, with its pure Detroit
synth, street samples and dark voices, it really controls your Soul. To
end, Matthew gets you into a pure delight of groovy techno vibe with <<
Slam >>, ready for some Detroit dancefloor ! Jemaho is taking a more
soulfull side of the city, not forgetting his techno side with << Detroit
Lab >>, a repetitive vibe with a very soulfull organ ! According to Jemaho,
he entered his studio and made this track after he played one night Norm
Talley's The Journey, he wanted to pay a tribute to this classic and make a
track that would fit the same construction. With << Motor Soul Revolution
>> he explores a more Deep and Soulfull side of the motor city that takes
its climax when the track turns into a jazzy expansion with saxophone,
french horns and fluty vibes. << Tragic Lost Love >> is ending this EP with
organ, complexed beats and a funky guitar ! Jazzy Butterfly is definitaly
entering 2015 with a huge ep made with love by 2 friends who are putting
real music above everything else!
